I had a few deals this week that were just too good to pass up, so I did a little mid-week shopping.
Retail Value: $43.30
My cost: $12.04!
A savings of 72%
Here's how I did it:
CVS
Soft Scrub Cleanser on sale 2 for $4.00
$1.00 off coupons found here: http://coupons.com, here: http://www.softscrub.com/specialoffers, and on the Soft Scrub facebook page. I had 4 coupons so I bought 4 bottles for 1.00 each.
Total at CVS: Retail: $21.16 I paid: $4.24
TOPS
General Mills Lucky Charms on sale 4 for $6.00
$1.00 off any Two GM cereals coupons found at: http://coupons.com. I used two coupons.
International Delights Coffee Creamer on sale 2 for $6.00. .55 cents off coupon found here: http://www.internationaldelight.com/Special-Offers. You can print the coupon twice. Coupons also double to $1.10 off with your bonus card.
Total at TOPS: Retail $22.14 I paid: $7.80.
So there you go; a little mid-week retail therapy!

Um, sorry if this is a repost. Didn't work earlier.
ReplyDeleteYou've made me interested however I'm very new at couponing so all beginner advice is needed. I missed the Sunday ads and plan to grocery shop within the next few days. Where do I go for specific coupons? I also have no idea how to double or triple coupons. is that always allowed? Lol. Sorry for my ignorance. Love this, keep it up!
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner- I was on vacation! Please check out the "Coupon Links" tab at the top of the blog for links to printable coupons. Your local Sunday papers are also great sources for manufacturer coupons. You should also check out TOPS' "Click to Card" program. Visit the TOPS website to add digital coupons directly to your bonus card with no clipping. And the best part is that you can use 1 click to card and one paper coupon on the same item.
ReplyDeleteI will be doing a series of "getting started" posts to help newbies figure out how to do this every week. It's a little overwhelming at first, but trust me, in a week or two you'll have your own system and you'll be spending WAAAYYYY less on groceries and other items. Glad you're enjoying the blog, come back often!
Oh- and TOPS will double any coupon that is for .99 cents or less, on any day, as long as you have a bonus card. They rarely offer triple coupons or double coupons that are for $1.00 or more. Stick with me over the next few weeks and we'll go through everything step by step.
